If so, we’d love to see your portfolio showcasing an appetite for video work and editing that pushes boundaries and takes risks. You’ll work closely with the creative and digital marketing teams to produce on-brand, innovative video content that tells our clients’ stories through the art of video.

The Day to Day
Here’s what you’ll do:
  • Design and deliver high-quality motion graphics optimized for video/web/social media/large-format TV dissemination according to approved strategy, concept and brand standards
  • Assist in designing and creating storyboards and scripts
  • Select, edit, and incorporate third party content (stills, footage, music, graphics, etc.) as needed
  • Retouch, correct, and color-grade video and photo content
  • Create high-production TV commercials for local, regional, and national clients
  • Work closely with the creative team to assist in developing multimedia presentations for meetings, conferences, etc.
  • Stay excited about and up-to-date on new content trends and technologies to ensure that Spur remains innovative and cutting edge
  • Collaborate closely in an Agile and iterative environment to deliver innovative video experiences to our customers at each stage of their journey
  • Work on design standards, documentation, and processes alongside our Creative Director to further our design practices
  • Manage multiple projects and clients with differing timelines and deadlines
  • Experience or understanding of Connected TV landscape a plus (but not required)
  • Understanding and excitement of the agency world, particularly the fast-paced environment and the ability to manage multiple clients and projects at the same time
Your Experience
Here’s what we’d like to see:
  • Degree in a related field (fine arts, multimedia production, journalism, or social sciences) and/or relevant technical training in video, digital design, and production
  • Experience in video and digital content development, with strong capabilities in graphic design and video production
  • Working knowledge of advertising methodology, brand development, and digital media
  • Skilled in the following software:
    • Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere, etc.)
    • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
    • Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
  • Ability to synthesize and present concepts and data for a general audience using multiple forms of media (video, animation, stills, graphics, etc.)
  • A champion of user-centered design & video principles and methodologies who crafts elegant but practical solutions to design challenges
  • A designer looking to hone their design instinct and video skills through user feedback, user research, contextual interviews, and competitive/analogous research
  • Ability to perform all Designer level responsibilities as needed for projects
  • A team member who is proactive, creative, adaptable, and collaborative; someone who loves wrestling with problems (figuratively, of course—no leotards here ‘till Halloween)
Compensation

We’re looking for an Art Director that has a love for—and experience with—video & motion graphics design. If this sounds like you, we’d love to see your portfolio showcasing an appetite for design & video work. You’ll work closely with the creative and digital marketing teams to produce on-brand, innovative content that tells our clients’ stories.

The Day to Day
Here’s what you’ll do:
  • Collaborate with team to develop strategy, ideas and concepts that align with the client, brand, and campaign
  • Manage design workflows and collaborating with designers and writers to ensure projects are delivered on time and are of quality
  • Design and deliver high-quality graphics optimized for video/web/social media/large-format TV dissemination according to approved strategy, concept and brand standards
  • Communicate with clients and/or senior management to develop an aesthetic that reflects the goals of a campaign or project
  • Meet with and present to clients, stakeholders, etc.
  • Create high-production TV commercials for local, regional, and national clients
  • Manage vendor relationships (videographers, photographers, narrators, programmers, voice artists, animators, translators, developers/coders) and ensure that their work matches the quality and branding for all projects
  • Work closely with the Creative Director to assist in developing multimedia presentations for meetings, conferences, etc.
